Practice Match
Essendon 18.10.118 def Richmond 10.8.68 at Essendon.

February 23
Richmond suspend Mykelti Lefau for practice match v Melbourne, and Round 1 v Carlton due to drink driving charge early morning on Feb 21. Hie licence is revoked for 10 months, and the Club has suspended him for Friday’s pre-season match against Melbourne in Ballarat and Round 1 against Carlton.

February 24 - Daryl Cumming, 1973 premiership player, dies aged 74. He had played in the most premierships at Richmond - 7, across Under 19s, Reserves and Seniors.

February 27
Richmond v Melbourne at Ballarat.
3 minutes into the first quarter the game is delayed (for 30mins+) due to lightning.
With 13mins 55 second remaining in the third quarter another lightning delay occurred and the game was called off.
Melbourne 78 led Richmond 43.
