BIOGRAPHY
Rhyan Mansell joined the Tigers after spending part of the 2021 pre-season training with the Tigers squad and eventually being selected as part of the AFL ‘s Supplementary Selection Period ( SSP ).
Richmond National recruiting manager Matt Clarke said that Rhyan had been on the Club’s radar for several years.
Rhyan is a Palawa Indigenous Australian and his father Brett won a Premiership with North Launceston in 1998 . Growing up in Tasmania Rhyan played Soccer and in his teenage years followed a pathway for an elite junior cricket career before he settled on football.

Rhyan joined the North Melbourne Academy in 2016 and played with the Tassie Mariners .
Before joining Richmond Rhyan played in three successive senior Premierships with North Launceston and then transferred to
Woodville West Torrens ( SA ) where he played in their 2020 senior Premiership team.

Rhyan’s senior debut with the Tigers was in Round 4, against Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval . Rhyan played 13 games with the senior team in 2021 and impressed with his determined play as a backman .
