Richmond unveil its first ever Womens football membership - dubbed Women’s Football Foundation Membership.
Member Number 1 is Ashleigh Barty, the then No.12 ranked singles player.

Richmond hosts its Season Launch, combined with a reunion of the 1969 Premiership side and the induction of Jack Baggott and Tony Free into the Hall of Fame, with Jack Titus and Roger Dean elevated to Immortal Status.

Roger Dean, 1969 Premiership captain and recent Tiger Immortal presents guernseys to debutants Tom Lynch, Noah Balta, Mav Weller.

A minute's silence is observed before the bounce, in memory of the victim of the 2019 terrorist attack in Christchurch. All players wear two black armbands.

Tom Lynch's kicks Richmond's first goal, it is his first goal with his first kick for the club.
Noah Balta kicks his first goal with his first kick.
Mav Weller, the 3rd debutant this day, kicks a behind with his first kick for the club.

This is the first match where the club uses their own numbering board to indicate players to come off and on the ground, as runners are banned until after each goal.

Carlton's opening quarter of 0.1 is their lowest against Richmond since Aug. 4 1894 in the VFA. That day Carlton were scoreless in the first quarter , but behinds didn't count in official scores back then.

Alex Rance suffers an ACL Knee injury, during a marking contest in the 3rd quarter. He will not play for the remainder of the 2019 season.

Trent Cotchin injures his hamstring.
Jayden Short dislocates his elbow.
Dustin Martin is reported twice for striking, as well as 'flipping the bird', and a gesture towards Shane Mumford.

Shane Edwards captains Richmond for the first time.
He is the second indigenous captain behind Maurice Rioli, 12 games, 1985 season.
Richmond play without Alex Rance, Jack Riewoldt, Trent Cotchin, and Dustin Martin.
Their victory is considered one of the club's best Home and Away wins of in their modern history.

Riewoldt returns from hand injury to captain. He subsequently suffers a knee injury.
Pre-match ceremony includes the lighting of the cauldron by the parents of Sapper Rowan Robinson, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2011.

Jack Higgins is hospitalised with bleeding on the brain, and is later ruled out of playing for the remainder of the 2019 season.

Friday 26

Trent Cotchin's 150th game as captain. Due to a niggling hamstring injury he takes no further part after quarter-time.
His wife was pregnant with his 3rd child at this time and there was suggestion if she was to go in labor he will leave the game.

Dustin Martin kicks 6 goals, the most by a Richmond player in a final since Kevin Bartlett (7 goals) and David Cloke (6 goals) in 1980 GF.
Richmond's 10th consecutive win in a row.


Monday 9
Danny Frawley, who coached Richmond from 2000 - 2004, dies aged 56. He coached Richmond to the 2001 Preliminary Final.

Craig McRae is awarded VFL Coach of the Year. Daniel Coffield and Hugh Beasley are named in the VFL Team of the Year. .
Tom Hunter is named VFLW Coach of the Year.

Black -arm bands worn for former coach Danny Frawley.
On the 50th anniversary of Richmond winning the 1969 Preliminary Final, they defeat Geelong by 19 points after trailing by 21 points at halftime.
RIchmond's 11th consecutive win.

Maureen Hafey, widow of Tom Hafey, presents the premiership cup.
Dustin Martin wins his second Norm Smith Medal.
Damien Hardwick joins Dan Minogue and Tom Hafey as multiple Richmond premiership coaches.
Trent Cotchin becomes the fifth dual Richmond premiership chaptain (Alec Edmonds, Dan Minogue, Perc Bentley, Royce Hart)
Brendon Gale become a two-time premiership CEO.
Peggy O'Neal becomes the sixth two-time premiership President (George Bennett, Alf Wood, Barney Herbert, Ray Dunn, Ian Wilson)
Marlion Pickett debuts in the premiership, the first time in Richmond history since Bill James in 1920.
Richmond's 12th consecutive win.
