Selected in 1996 by Allen Aylett, Percy Beames, Bob Davis, Gerard Healy, Jack Irving, Bill Jacobs, David Parkin, and Greg Hobbs with Ross Oakley (non voting chairman).

Criteria stipulated that the player must have played in the VFL/AFL and must be, “A member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame. (or) A current AFL player. (or) A retired player who does not qualify for the Australian Football Hall of Fame because he has not been retired for three years.”
