BIOGRAPHY
Aaron was selected by Richmond at pick number 3 in the 1999 National Draft . Aaron at the time was widely rated as one of the best young footballers in the country . Aaron had good pace and elite skills and played mainly on the wing . While playing 78 games with Richmond his form failed to match the pre-draft expectations that were placed upon him especially in comparison to six time All Australian Matthew Pavlich , who was drafted with the selection immediately after him . Aaron probably had as good an AFL career ( 78 games with Tigers and 62 games with Saints ) as many others and through no fault of his own was left in the glare of constant comparison because of his position in the draft ( initated by Richmond ) . The constant comparison of draft selections is now a new focus of the media and supporters and creates even greater pressure on cubs with their selections at the National Draft .
Aaron transferred to St Kilda for the 2005 season and enjoyed some good form but eventually could not sustain the performance to be considered for senior selection and was delisted by St Kilda in 2008 with a year to go on his contract.
