BIOGRAPHY
Adam Houlihan played for Wagunyah on the Victorian side of Corowa, and is one of 4 brothers all recruited from Wagunyah to AFL Clubs the others being Damien ( Collingwood/ North Melbourne), Ryan (Carlton) , and Josh ( St Kilda). Adam played also for Corowa –Rutherglen and then Murray Bushrangers in the TAC Cup . Adam was drafted by Geelong with a compensatory selection ( second overall ) in the 1995 AFL Pre-season Draft from Murray Bushrangers at 16 years of age. Adam played 61 games with Geelong from 1997 to 2001.
Adam was drafted by Richmond with pick 63 in the 2001 AFL National Draft and made his senior debut with Richmond in Round 1,
2002 against Collingwood. Adam showed his goal kicking skills in 2003 with a 4 goal game against St Kilda and a 5 goal game against Port Adelaide. With a hamstring injury keeping him out of the senior team in 2004 Adam was not able to secure a regular place in the senior team. Adam was delisted by Richmond at the end of 2004 but continued to play with Richmond’s VFL Affiliate, Coburg . Adam retired from AFL football at the end of 2005.
