BIOGRAPHY
Alan played across the centre-line and as a ruck-rover. He won the 1960 Reserves’ Best and Fairest award and was a regular member of the seniors in 1961, playing 13 games.
After four seasons with Richmond he crossed to South Australian club Central Districts. He was a much travelled player whose career spanned four decades and approximately 410 games.
He represented eight clubs, won seven Best and Fairests, and played in four Premiership sides. He was President of the Mornington Football Club in 1991. He is the son of the late Doug Hayes.
