BIOGRAPHY
Alby played in the back-pocket and centre after being recruited from Richmond City. In 1938 he won the Reserves Best and Fairest and was also selected to represent the VFL Reserves combined side. He was forced into an early retirement due to injury. He later served in the Royal Australian Navy during the Second World War.
