BIOGRAPHY
Allan was a full-back who was recruited from Werribee South. He was a very steady, reliable defender without being a star. He did well against Essendon champion John Coleman, on several occasions which was no mean feat. Between 1953 and 1957 he played in 68 consecutive senior games. He was eventually forced to retire due to injury and later became a recruiting officer for Richmond. He was a member of the committee that saw Werribee gain entry to the VFA. He is the brother-in-law of former Richmond centre-half-forward, Ray Poulter. Allan now lives in Werribee.
