BIOGRAPHY
Andrew Krakoeur is the son of Jim Krakoeur and nephew of Phil , both former North Melbourne players . Andrew played in the South Fremantle Colts team in the WAFL . Andrew was drafted by Richmond with pick 41 in the 2000 AFL National Draft. Richmond
had received pick 41 in the transfer of Ben Harrison to the Western Bulldogs . Andrew played initially for Richmond’s VFL Affiliate
Coburg and made his senior debut with Richmond in Round 7 , 2001 against Essendon . Andrew played 3 senior games in 2001 and 13 in 2002. He became a regular senior player from 2003 to 2007. Andrew along with his brother Tyrone was charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm on 24th December 2006 after an incident in Fremantle on 22 nd December. He was found guilty in June 2008 of assault with intent to cause bodily harm and was sentenced to 4 years jail . The sentence was later reduced to 32 months. Richmond had delisted Andrew at the end of the 2007 season. Andrew was released from prison in August 2009 and signed with Swan Districts where he had an extraordinary year in 2010 ; winning the Swans Best and Fairest, winning the Sandover Medal for the Best and Fairest in the WAFL, winning the Simpson Medal for Best player on the ground in the Swans one point win against Claremont in the WAFL Grand Final .
Andrew returned to the AFL when he signed with Collingwood on 7th October 2010.

Joined Richmond with Richmond's draft selection, pick 41 overall in 2000 National Draft. Pick 41 acquired from Western Bulldogs for Ben Harrison .
