BIOGRAPHY
Tony was a half-back and ruck-rover who was recruited from Williamstown. He had a very consistent season with the Richmond Reserves in 1987, winning the Best and Fairest; however, he could only manage one senior game in Round 5 against Melbourne. He then returned to the VFA where he remained an outstanding player. He is a fine team man who gets the hard ball and uses it well. In 1986, he was a member of Williamstown’s Premiership team and also won the “Norm Goss” Medal for best player on the ground. He also captained the VFA Representative side that defeated the Victorian Combined Country team in 1992.
In 1981, Tony played in two Premiership sides in the one season. He also won club and competition Best and Fairest awards as well as captaining one of the Premiership teams. These performances caught the attention of the Sydney Swans’ Williamstown. He now lives in the western suburbs.
