BIOGRAPHY
Arthur played in the back-pocket and on the wing. He was a reliable and consistent player who unfortunately missed playing in the 1920 Premiership team due to a leg injury. The main feature of his game was his safe marking. He won the club Best and Fairest in 1916, and was a member of the 1919 Grand Final side. His games tally would have been higher, had he not been suspended for 10 games as a result of an indiscretion against St.Kilda in Round 6 of 1915. After retiring as a player, he served on the Richmond Committee between 1921 and 1927, and was awarded Life Membership in 1922. He died in 1971.
