BIOGRAPHY
Ben Nason played with Port Adelaide Magpies U/17 and U/19 and after being overlooked in the 2007and 2008 AFL National Drafts he moved to Central Districts (SANFL) for the 2009 season. Ben was drafted by Richmond with pick 71 in the 2009 AFL National Draft. After sustaining an injury in the first pre-season match followed by a quick recovery and two more pre-season matches Ben made his senior debut in Round 1, 2009 against Carlton . Playing at half-forward and some midfield Ben played 19 senior games in 2010 , and with his blond dreadlocks became a cult figure with Tiger fans. In Round 8 , 2010 Hawthorn’s Sam Mitchell was fined $900 for pulling Ben’s hair. Ben played 4 senior games in 2011 and Ben was delisted by Richmond at the end of the year.
