BIOGRAPHY
Ben was a local Richmond boy who spent part of 1911 with Melbourne before crossing to Richmond for one game in 1912. He was better known as a cricketer who kept wicket with Richmond Senior XI in 1912/13 and between 1923 and 1928. He scored 296 runs and effected 47 dismissals, 30 catches and 17 stumpings. He also played with East Melbourne between 1913 and 1922 scoring 357 runs and effecting 57 dismissals, 29 catches and 28 stumpings. His highest scores were 58 with Richmond and 37 for East Melbourne and he also represented the Victorian State Side twice in 1914, scoring 60 runs with a highest score of 30.
