BIOGRAPHY
William was a full-forward and centre-half-forward. His debut game at full forward was in place of Bob Dummett who was out with the flu. Carrick kicked 2 goals. Dummett returned the following week so Carrick was moved the half forward flank and replaced John Nix, who had toe soreness, for the next two games.
Carrick spent three seasons with Richmond and was a member of the Reserves’ 1955 Premiership side. He later played with Ballarat and Box Hill and now lives in Canberra.
