BIOGRAPHY
William was a centre-half back. Recruited from Heyfield, he only spent two seasons with Richmond and was a member of the Reserves’ 1954 Premiership side. He then transferred to VFA Club Moorabbin, where he was a fine player, winning two Best and Fairest awards. William now lives in East Bentleigh. He is the father-in-law of former Hawthorn and Brisbane Bears player Michael McCARTHY.
