BIOGRAPHY
Bill was a ruckman who was recruited from Lalbert. He started with the Richmond Fourths in 1969 and worked his way up to make his Senior debut in Round 7 of 1972 as a reserve against North Melbourne. He played in Premiership teams with the Under 19's in 1970 and the Reserves in 1971 and 1973. Whilst at Richmond he was unlucky in that he had to compete with the likes of Green, Roberts, McKellar and Balme for the rucking positions. He was a very keen player who had the stamina to ruck all day. After leaving Richmond, he played with Preston in 1974 before moving to South Australia where he represented both Norwood and Central Districts between 1975 and 1978. Bill returned to Victoria in 1979, playing and coaching in the Bendigo, Latrobe and Goulburn Valley Leagues. He now lives in Shepparton.
