BIOGRAPHY
Robert was a wingman and half-back-flanker. He was a clever, skilful player who had a good turn of speed. He was a local boy who played one game for Collingwood before joining Richmond in the VFA. He spent five seasons with Richmond in the VFL before crossing to St.Kilda.
After his time at Richmond there was a possibility that he was to play with South Bendigo if he did not receive a work transfer to Melbourne from the Railway Department.
