BIOGRAPHY
Robert was a centre-half-forward who was recruited from Camberwell Juniors. Although thinly built he was a strong mark and could hold his position well in a pack of players. He was a member of the 1920 and 1921 Premiership sides, and also represented Victoria once in 1921. A cabinet maker he later workedin the dairy industry. At the time of his death, in 1992, he was Richmond’s oldest living past player and the AFL/VFL’s oldest living Premiership player. Robert was the brother of Harry and George Weatherill.
