BIOGRAPHY
Robert was a fast and skilful left-foot wingman. He peaked early in his career gaining state selection in his first season; however, by his fourth VFL season he had lost form completely. He missed the 1919 Grand Final due to a leg injury, but was a member of the 1920 and 1921 Premiership sides. In 1929, he became the first senior coach of the Old Paradians Amateur Football Club. Away from football, he held a Degree in Commerce. He died in September 1969. Robert’s father, Ned was a member of Fitzroy’s first VFA team in 1883.
