BIOGRAPHY
Brandon Ellis was drafted by Richmond with pick 15 in the 2011 AFL National Draft . Brandon enjoyed a successful junior career
culminating in selection in the Vic Metro team in the 2010 U/18 National Championships and selection in the All Australian team.
Brandon debuted for the Richmond senior team in Round 1 , 2012 against Carlton . Brandon established himself as a regular player mainly on the wing with the Tigers senior team . Brandon in 2013 was selected in the inaugural AFL Players Association ( AFLPA) 22under22 as one of the best young players in the AFL.

Brandon finished second in the senior Best and Fairest in 2014 and was selected again in the AFLPA 22under22 team . Brandon continued to play consistent football with the senior team and was able to experience finals football , although the Tigers lost three Elimination finals in succession in 2013, 2014 and 2015. In 2017 Brandon moved from the wing to the back line and played in the Tigers 2017 Premiership team. Brandon experience mixed fortunes in 2018 . After playing 111 consecutive games at AFL level Brandon was omitted from the Round 6 match against Collingwood , the first senior match he had missed since Round 12, 2013. He made his way back into the senior team but was dropped again in the finals . Brandon fought back from the set backs of 2018 and returned to the senior team in 2019 back on the wing , and finished the season in the Tigers senior 2019 Premiership team .

Brandon was a very popular team man and in a very difficult decision he accepted a five year offer with an attractive salary from Gold Coast under the AFL Restricted Agency rules.
