BIOGRAPHY
Brett Evans nicknamed “ The Birdman “ played football at Narre Warren and Springvale before being drafted by Melbourne with pick 5 in the 1993 AFL Mid-season Draft . Brett , a member of Melbourne’s 1993 Premiership Reserves , did not play a senior game and returned to Springvale . Richmond gave him a second chance at AFL football when they drafted him with pick 6 in the 1997 AFL Pre-season Draft . Brett made his debut with the Richmond team in Round 9, 1997 against St Kilda. Brett was a very determined player and a popular team mate. Brett played 28 senior games with Richmond between 1997-2000 and retired from AFL football at the end of 2000. Brett returned to Narre Warren and played in five Mornington League Premierships.
