BIOGRAPHY
Brian came to Richmond as a full-forward, after being recruited from Wentworth. He joined the Under/19s in 1981 and the following season won the VFL Under/19’s Top Goalkicker award. He finished the 1982 season with a total of 114 goals after kicking 33 with the reserves as well. He also won the Best First Year Player award in 1983 in his only senior season with Richmond. He was a strong, bustling type of player who could hold down a key-position in either defence or attack. He crossed to Essendon during the 1984 season and remained there until 1988, usually playing at full-back. He spent 1989 with St.Kilda, before crossing to West Adelaide where he played in 1990 and 1991.
He then returned to Melbourne and played with Prahran in 1992 and 1993. He spent two seasons with Sandringham before moving to Cheltenham this year. Brian’s brother , Geoff, played with Collingwood and Richmond’s Reserves. Geoff then moved to South Australia where he played 126 senior games with South Adelaide and Glenelg.
