BIOGRAPHY
Cameron Howat played originally with Oakleigh Chargers U/18 in the TAC Cup and then Box Hill Hawks. Cameron was drafted by
Richmond with pick 36 in the 2006 AFL Rookie Draft and played his first senior game with Richmond in Round 18, 2006 against the
Western Bulldogs. Cameron impressed early days when Olympian Craig Mottram raced and beat the Richmond squad around the Tan in 2006. Mottram gave the players 2½ minutes head start with Cameron the last Tiger Mottram passed in running the 3.827
kilometres circuit in 10 min 8 sec. Cameron played some classy games with the Tigers but after a good year in 2007 when he played 15 games he was delisted by Richmond at the end of that year. Richmond re–drafted him with pick 47 in the
2008 AFL Rookie Draft , but he played 1 game in Round 1, 2008 against Carlton was suspended for 3 matches for striking Adam
Hartlett from Carlton and did not play another senior game.
