BIOGRAPHY
Chris played originally with Barooga and then moved to Murray Bushrangers U/18 in the TAC Cup. Chris was drafted by Richmond
with pick 40 in the 2000 AFL National Draft. Chris did not play a senior game in 2001 and was delisted by Richmond at the end of the year. Chris re-entered the draft system and was immediately re- drafted by Richmond with pick 68 in the 2001 AFL National Draft . Pick 68 was received from North Melbourne in exchange for David Bourke. Chris played his first senior game with Richmond in Round 14 , 2002 against Carlton. Chris played 2 games in 2002 and 6 games in 2003 before becoming a regular senior player in 2004 playing every game and finishing 4 th in the Best and Fairest , Chris 17 games in 2005 missing 3 games with a fractured skull after a head clash with Michael Maguire in the Round 5 game against St Kilda. Chris and Michael Maguire were taken from the ground on stretchers with Chris being hospitalized . Chris returned in Round 9 and was required to wear head protection to protect his skull. Chris continued his consistent good form by playing every game in 2006. Chris played 13 games in 2007 and 11 games in 2008 unable to secure a regular place in the senior team. Chris retired from AFL football at the end of 2008 and headed to the Murray River to join Albury in the Ovens and Murray league where he played in 10 consecutive Grand Finals winning 7 of them.
