BIOGRAPHY

Clinton King is the son of Derek King who played 11 games with StKilda in the late 1960’s. Clinton played with Eastern Ranges in the TAC Cup and was drafted by Sydney. Clinton played 9 games with Sydney and at the end of 1997 was traded to Collingwood in
exchange for Collingwood’s pick 40 in the 1997 AFL National Draft. Clinton played 22 games in 1998 and 1999 and Collingwood traded him to Richmond in exchange for Steve McKee. Clinton played his first senior game with Richmond in Round 1, 2000 against Melbourne. He played the first 13 games as a midfielder, but broke his leg which finished his 2000 season , and while he played in Round 1, 2001 against Melbourne he did’nt play another senior game until Round 11, 2001 against Carlton . Clinton played every senior game for the rest of the 2001 season including the Tigers finals campaign which finished with a Preliminary Final loss to Brisbane Lions. Clinton played 16 senior games in 2002 but his form dropped off in 2003 playing 10 senior games. Richmond delisted Clinton at the end of 2003.
