BIOGRAPHY
Born in Melbourne, Colin was a rugged straight-ahead type of back-pocket and full-back nicknamed 'Big Gun'.
An enthusiastic player and fine team man, he started his senior career with South Fremantle in 1959 and went on to represent Western Australia twice. He was forced to stand out of football for a year, in 1968, in order to obtain a transfer to Richmond and was a member of their 1969 Premiership side in his first VFL season.
He returned to South Fremantle after three seasons with Richmond and later coached that club for three seasons. He was awarded Life Membership at South Fremantle in 1981 and the Richmond Football Club in 2019. He was a journalist and lived in Perth. His son, Geoff, also played senior football with South Fremantle.
