BIOGRAPHY
Craig was a utility player who played as a ruck-rover, half-back-flanker and wingman. Originally recruited from Lalbert he spent two seasons with Richmond's Under/19 team where he was a member of the 1985 Premiership side, as well as running second in the Best and Fairest award. In 1986, his first senior season, he ran second in the Seniors Best and Fairest award and won the Best First Year Player award. He also ran second in the 1989 and 1993 Reserves Best and Fairest awards. A classy player he was a fine kick and very skilful. He was nearly lost to Richmond in 1990 after injuries and a lack of form saw him apply for a transfer to Benalla, however he was coaxed into returning to Punt Road. In 1991 he regained some of his old form and became a regular member of the senior team, however he struggled with injuries and illness in 1992 and 1993. In 1994 he was playing-coach of Lavington and for the past two seasons he has played with Wodonga Raiders. Craig is a builder and plasterer.
