BIOGRAPHY
Dennis was a pacy wingman who loved to run with the ball and it was not uncommon to see him have four or five bounces running around the wing. He was easily recognised on the field by his thick, dark beard. He came to Richmond via Footscray and Carlton and was one of three emergencies for the 1980 Premiership side. He was unlucky not to have been included after playing some great games during that season. He now lives at Hyden, in Western Australia where he is a farmer, hotelier, motel manager and chef. He also has a very unusual hobby in that he collects antique lace garments which he displays for tourists visiting the area. His father, Jack Collins, played 31 games with Fitzroy from 1945 until 1949 and 13 games with Essendon in 1950. His younger brother, Daryl, played one game for Footscray in 1974.
