BIOGRAPHY
Don was a full-forward who was a specialist goal sneak. By today’s standards he would have been a lightly-built rover. Despite his lack of size he was very dangerous around the goals , either with a direct shot or when snapping for goal . During his career he won two Competition and 10 Club Goalkicking awards . After leaving Richmond he played with Fairfield, before moving to Oakleigh . In 1931, he won the VFA Goalkicking award with 82 goals. He was also a member of Oakleigh’s 1930 and 1931 Premiership sides and finished his career with 949 goals from 254 games. Don was the father of Don “ Mopsy “ Fraser . Although not as fiery as his son , he didn’t have a great love of umpires and wouldn’t hesitate to vent his feelingsif he didn’t agree with their verdicts.
