BIOGRAPHY
Richmond's champion midfielder in the 2010s, Martin's 2017 season is regarded as one of the most dominant in the club's history. He won the Leigh Matthews Trophy, All Australian Selection, AFLCA Player of the Year, Herald Sun Player of the Year, Brownlow Medal, AFLCA Gary Ayres Medal, the Norm Smith Medal, and the Best and Fairest (for a second time).
He is the only player to win 3 Norm Smith Medals.
In 2021 he suffered a kidney injury in Round 18 which hospitalised him and sidelined him for remainder of the season.
