BIOGRAPHY
Frank was a rover. He was a clever player who became a regular member of the senior side until an unfortunate collision with team mate PADDY GUINANE. After this he struggled to regain his form and confidence. He made his senior debut in Round 14 of 1964 and went on to play the next 33 games consecutively. His highest individual goal tally was 5 against Footscray in Round 2 of 1966. He won the Most Determined Trophy in 1966. He later moved to North Melbourne for two seasons before spending four seasons at Brunswick. He was Richmond’s Senior Team Manager between 1988 and 1990 and now runs a restaurant in Lygon Street, Carlton. Frank is the father of Paul DIMATTINA who played with the Richmond Reserves in 1992 before making his senior debut with Footscray in 1995. He also has another son currently playing in the Victorian State League Under/18 competition.
