BIOGRAPHY
George played in the centre and on the wing . His early football career was put on hold due to service commitments during the First World War . After the war , he played with Footscray in the VFA for three seasons, before crossing to Richmond for three seasons . He was voted Richmond's best player in the 1924 semi-final win over South Melbourne . George then returned to Footscray who had joined the VFL in 1925.
