BIOGRAPHY
James was a wingman. He was known as the “Sideway Rabbit” because of his pace. He was a local boy who went on to become one of the founding members of the Richmond Cubs, or Reserves as they are now known. In season 1922, he was a regular senior player who performed so well he was selected to play for the state. He later played with VFA club Camberwell before coaching in the Eastern Suburbs. James died in 1989.
