BIOGRAPHY
Joe was a full-back and centre-half-back. Recruited from Collingwood’s Seconds he was a very determined player without being a champion. His personal games tally, with Richmond, would have been greater had he not suffered a broken ankle in the first game of 1924 and incurred a 3-match suspension in 1925. He played in a VFL Representative side in 1924 and was also a member of the club’s 1924 Finals’ teams. He later played with Camberwell in the VFA, before coaching local sides in the Richmond area.
