BIOGRAPHY
John plays in defence. He spent five seasons with Melbourne before moving to Richmond in 1993 where he played mainly at full-back. He is a strongly-built player who is not afraid to put his body into a pack, in order to win the hard ball. He also kicks well to position. He struggled to gain regular senior selection in 1995, but was included in the semi-final side against Essendon where he performed well when given his chance.
