BIOGRAPHY
John progressed through the lower grades at Richmond and developed into a serviceable key-position player. He had the occasional run in the ruck where his strong marking and athletic spring were his greatest assets. He was not afraid to upset opposing forwards with his close-checking tactics when playing in defence. His best senior season was 1987 when he ran third in the Best and Fairest award. Since leaving Richmond he has played in the Victorian Amateur Competition, with his original team Old Geelong. John has earned selection in both the Victorian State Amateurs and the All-Australian Amateurs. He now lives in Prahran.
