BIOGRAPHY
John played at full-back with Richmond. He was recruited from Collingwood where he had played mainly as a key-forward after working his way up from their Under/19s. He was left off Richmond’s list after one season. He then crossed to Prahran where he played consistent football as a centre-half-forward. His strong marking was his greatest asset. He won Prahran’s Goalkicking award in 1992, just pipping his coach, former Richmond player Brian Taylor. In 1994, John moved to Kedron Grange in the Queensland League. His good form earned him selection in the state in the state team twice. He finished up kicking 8 goals in one game and 7 in the other. He returned to Victoria in 1995 and has played with Tongala since.
