BIOGRAPHY
John was a half-back-flanker. He spent a total of eight seasons with Richmond after working his way through to the seniors from the thirds. He was a member of the Reserves’ 1955 Premiership side and in 1956 he was Reserves’ captain and equal Best and Fairest. He also gained selection in the VFL Reserves’ Representative side, but was eventually forced to retire at the age of 25 due to injury. John is a builder and now lives in Kangaroo Flat.
