BIOGRAPHY
John was a centre-half-forward and centre-half-back. His career was charmed by the fact that he was a member of or coached nine Premiership sides. He played with Fish Creek before he joined Richmond in 1959. His two senior games were against Carlton and Collingwood in Rounds 15 and 16 of 195. He then played with Rapunyup between 1960 and 1962 before returning to Fish Creek. John is a Life Member of the Fish Creek Football Club. In 1967, he won the “Studfield Medal” as the League’s Best and Fairest. He now runs a dairy farm at Fish Creek.
