BIOGRAPHY
Josh Caddy was originally drafted by the Gold Coast with pick 7 in the 2010 NAB AFL National Draft . Josh missed most of his first year with Gold Coast through injury and failed in an attempt to leave Gold Coast at the end of season 2011. Josh stayed with the Gold Coast and played all 22 games in the 2015 season , but again wanted to go back to Victoria and was eventually traded to Geelong . Josh played 71 games with Geelong from 2013 -2016 but found himself being discussed as a trade for Brett Deledio of Richmond . The Deledio trade didn’t eventuate but he was traded to Richmond in exchange for 2016 draft selection 26 ( Brandon Parfitt ) and 2006 draft selection 60 ( Quinton Narkle ).

Josh was one of a trio of recruits secured at the end of 2016 by Richmond through trades. He, along with Dion Prestia and Toby
Nankervis would have a major influence on the on-field performance of the Tigers in the years to come.
Josh made his senior debut in Round 1, 2017 against Carlton and established himself as a regular player in the senior team . Josh a strong player and a good kick played a mixture of forward and midfield and played in the 2017 and 2019 Premierships.

Josh was hampered by injury in the Covid 19 interrupted 2020 season and only played 8 games ( 2020 season 17 games plus finals , game quarters reduced to 16 min ) . While recovering in time for finals Josh could not break into the senior team in what was another Premiership year. Josh played only 9 games in 2021.
