BIOGRAPHY
Kelvin Moore played football originally with Healesville and Yarra Valley Grammar Old Boys. Kelvin was drafted by Richmond with pick 3 in the 2003 AFL Rookie Draft . Kelvin a strong defender played his first senior game for Richmond in Round 11 , 2004 against North Melbourne . He played 9 senior games in 2004 and he was restricted in his early years at Richmond by injuries with 6 games in 2005, 2 games in 2006 and 7 games in 2007. Richmond’s and Kelvin’s faith and perseverance was rewarded when he secured a regular place in the senior team in 2008 playing all 22 games with the senior team and becoming a valuable member of the team with his athleticism and toughness, finishing 5 th in the club Best and Fairest. He played 19 games in 2009 being elevated to the senior team leadership group and 19 games again in 2010 finishing 8 th in the club Best and Fairest. A hip injury struck again in 2011 and Kelvin was unable to play a senior game. He managed to recover to play in the senior team in Rounds 16, 17 and 18 in 2012, after which he announced his retirement from AFL football. Kelvin played 87 games with Richmond in 10 years . He was greatly admired by his teammates who understood the commitment , determination and persistence he had shown to continue to be a member of the team.
