BIOGRAPHY
Ken was a half-back-flanker. An accurate pass and fine team man he was was second in the 1949 Seniors’ Best and Fairest award and also won the Best First Year Player award in 1947. He is a Life Member of the Richmond Former Players’ and Officials Association. A local Richmond boy, he didn’t make his senior debut until the age of 22 as he served in the Army, during World War 2 between 1941 and 1946. He spent five seasons with Richmond before coaching both Minyip and Millicent to Premierships. He is now retired and living at Corowa. Ken’s son, Ken Junior, played 100 games with Essendon between 1970 and 1977 and 12 games with melbourne in 1978 and 1979.
