BIOGRAPHY
Kevin played most of his football across the half-back line. He started his senior career with Dandenong where he played between 1962 and 1965, and then crossed to Richmond in 1966 spending three seasons with the club. He was a member of the 1966 Reserves Premiership side and was a regular member of the senior side throughout 1967 and a reserve in the second semi-final against Carlton. He was emergency for the 1967 Premiership side then spent two years with Rochester, whilst undergoing National Service training. In 1970 he won the Bendigo League Best and Fairest award "The Michelsen Medal". He rejoined Dandenong in 1971 and remained there until the end of 1974. He is a plumber and now lives at Hampton Park. Kevin is the older brother of Brian Shinners.
