BIOGRAPHY
Laurie was a centreman who was recruited from Edithvale-Aspendale. He spent four seasons at Richmond and won the Seniors Best and Fairest award in 1956. A strong player, he was a consistent performer during his short stay at Richmond and was also a fine wet-weather player. The early part of his VFL career was interrupted due to a broken leg. After leaving Richmond he spent one season with Wangaratta and one with South Melbourne before returning to his junior club. Laurie died of a heart attack in 1974.
