BIOGRAPHY
Leo was a half-forward. He was recruited from Richmond’s Junior team Beverlys during the 1912 season. He played two games with Richmond before returning to Beverlys where he was a member of their Premiership team. He also spent part of the 1911 season with Melbourne. Away from football, he also represented the Richmond Cricket Club between 1913 and 1926 and played in two Second XI Premiership sides and was Senior XI captain from 1919 until 1921. He won the Senior XI Batting Average in 1920-21. In all he scored 1861 runs with three centuries. He later served as a Victorian Cricket Association Delegate, as well as being Vice President of the Richmond Cricket Club. He was a Life Member of the Richmond Cricket Club. He also received an M.B.E, “Member of the British Empire”, for his services to cricket. Leo was one of five brothers to play VFL Football.
