BIOGRAPHY
Les was a ruck-rover, centreman and half-forward. He was skillful, had a good turn of speed and was a fine mark. He played with St.Kilda prior to joining Richmond and he kicked 5 goals in his league debut against South Melbourne in 1923. He represented Victoria in 1926 and 1929 and was a member of Richmond’s 1927 and 1928 Grand Final sides. He also kicked 6 goals against Hawthorn in Round 4 of 1926. An electrical mechanic, Les was a cousin of former Richmond half-forward Harry WEIDNER.
