BIOGRAPHY
Born in Brunswick, Les was a centreline player who was recruited from the Castlemaine area.
He was a lightly-built player who had a good turn of speed, having been a champion runner who won the Echuca Gift and Sprint, and Maryborough Shield.
He was favourite to win the 1913 Stawell Gift but finished third.
He was a hotel licensee for part of his working life and he died in 1941 after contracting tuberculosis.
His brother Norman, played 33 games with Collingwood between 1909 and 1911.
