BIOGRAPHY
Matt White played junior football at Sunbury and then moved to Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup. Matt was drafted by Richmond with pick 5 in the 2005 AFL Pre-season Draft. Matt a midfielder / wingman played his first senior game with Richmond in Round 10,
2006 against Fremantle at Subiaco Oval . Matt, especially quick, initially showed plenty of promise in the back line in his debut year playing 11 games, but was unable to back up in 2007 playing 7 games . Matt was moved by Coach Terry Wallace to the wing and was a regular senior player in 2008, 2009 and 2010. Matt played a more defensive role under new coach Damien Hardwick and while playing 16 games in 2013 he exercised his right as an unrestricted free agent to join Port Adelaide at the end of the 2013 season.
