Maurice Rioli Jnr
BIOGRAPHY
Maurice Rioli Jnr was drafted by Richmond in the 2020 NAB AFL National Draft with pick 51 overall. Tiger fans had been waiting with impatient excitement for Maurice Jnr to be ready to play AFL football.
Maurice a small forward is the son of Maurice Rioli Snr ( deceased ) who was a Champion of the Richmond Football Club as well as a Champion of the South Fremantle Football Club and a member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame.
Maurice Jnr like many players was impacted by the Covid19 pandemic which caused the VFL season to be frequently interrupted limiting opportunities for development .
Maurice played his first game with the Tigers senior team in Round 21, 2021 against North Melbourne at the MCG. Maurice finished 2021 with 2 games for the senior team and displayed glimpses of his natural talent and flair . Maurice also showed his ability to apply forward pressure with strong tackling a feature of his game. Tiger fans are hoping Maurice will be a regular senior player
